My Story

A staggering 83% of women are unhappy with their bodies and use diets to achieve their ideal body shape.

Are you one of them?

I understand your pain because I have been there.

I was a child when I started hating my body, a journey that led to unhappiness and unhealthy behaviors.

I’m Psychotherapist and holistic nutrition coach, Dr. Danielle Ottosen and I’ve spent my career dedicated to helping women find their balance - A healthy body, mind, and soul.

Today, my mission is to help women overcome their obsession with food, the scale, and unhealthy attitudes about their bodies.

Using my proprietary method, called E.P.I.C. we get to the real issues… addiction and subconscious self-sabotage.  E.P.I.C. stands for event triggers, perceptions about event triggers, "I feel..." , and choices.

I show clients how to develop an effortless relationship with food through mindful eating, while identifying their emotional connection to food. And nourish a new appreciation for the body they have, so they can find peace and let go of the deep-rooted, toxic beliefs of being flawed. They built healthy, sustainable habits by choosing foods and activities that give them energy, rather than deplete them. They enjoy restful sleep and find that stress is now manageable.

Most importantly, they look in the mirror to appreciate the person looking back at them.

Imagine being able to walk free from the voices of diet culture. Embracing that a number on the scale does not equate to your worth, health, or happiness.

Health is not just what you eat. Health is what you think, say, and believe about yourself.

When things change inside of you, things change around you! ❤
