I recently received an email from a follower who was desperate for help. She is in charge of her family holiday party, but she is super dedicated to her weight loss and health/wellness goals. She is unwilling to deviate- for even one day- from her healthy lifestyle. Her primary question was, “What can I possibly cook for my entire family that they will enjoy and I don’t have to sacrifice what’s important to me…my health?”
Naturally, my first response was… have everyone contribute one food item- a side dish, dessert, or appetizer. Then you can focus on the main course and make that course healthy. So no matter what other people bring, you will not have to sacrifice your health goals and everyone is happy! I also provided her with some simple, healthy, and delicious recipes that she can make for her holiday gathering.
This email got me thinking… this woman is not the only person in this predicament.
